In my five years acquiring and editing at Pegasus Books, I had the great pleasure of working on over 50 fiction and nonfiction titles. I then acquired, edited, and helped develop original webnovel ideas at Tapas Media, and worked on nonfiction titles for the Epic Ink imprint at the Quarto Group. Since 2019, I’ve also been a freelance editor for Crooked Lane Books/Alcove Press and Radish Fiction, as well as working with individual authors through Reedsy. Below are some of my greatest successes.
I always like to say I’ll read any genre once, but I especially love——and have so far had the most editorial experience with——crime fiction, from traditional mysteries to noir stories to espionage thrillers. I adore genre fiction! On the nonfiction side, I enjoy biographies, memoirs, narrative history, and true crime.
Basically, if it has a spy, a royal, a superhero, or a Hollywood personality in it, I’ll probably be interested!

"A fascinating history of desire and attraction." —Entertainment Weekly (one of the 50 Most Anticipated Books of 2020)
"Vidich proved his talent for noirish spy fiction in two earlier books. This stand-alone work reaches a new level of moral complexity and brings into stark relief the often contradictory nature of spycraft." —Tom Nolan, Wall Street Journal
"A novel that’s a lot like life: jumbled and challenging and wonderfully real." —Washington Post (A Notable Book)
"Boyle studies Donnie and his neighbors with a mixture of affection and despair worthy of a Bruce Springsteen song. He has a real thing for working-class folks. People like this, they need people like Boyle." —Marilyn Stasio, New York Times Book Review
"THE LONELY WITNESS is a map of Brooklyn’s genome. Amy Falconetti is that rarest of noir characters, a woman redeemed and a redeemer. Walking in her shoes for only a few blocks is worth the price of admission." —Reed Farrel Coleman, New York Times bestselling author of 'What You Break'
"A tender and heart-aching account of coming-of-age, and of aging, and of a vanishing New York City." —Jonathan Lethem, New York Times bestselling author and winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award
"Anthony Amore has written an engrossing character study of Rose Dugdale, a remarkable criminal." —John Douglas, legendary FBI criminal profiler, #1 New York Times best-selling author, and inspiration for Netflix's "Mindhunter"
"This is very possibly the definitive espionage thriller of the early 21st century.” —Alan Moore
"Original, thought-provoking, and with an elegant sense of humor, A BOOB'S LIFE is a must-read." —Salma Hayek
“A wild ride that includes a bounty of secrets, a doomsday cult, and enough twists to satisfy even the most seasoned mystery reader.” —PopSugar (Best New Thriller and Mystery Books in September)
"Edgy. At first, THE MERCENARY seems an outstanding example of a familiar sort of spy saga. But there's more to Alek Garin than most people know." —Tom Nolan, The Wall Street Journal
“[Amy is] quite a remarkable character. Amy comes from tough stock, a clan of miners whose faces are bared in the old photos people hang in their homes. Woods writes in the same style as those photographs, wrapping beauty in shocking misery.” —Marilyn Stasio, New York Times Book Review
