Not very much to report this week, so apologies for the short missive!

Things aren’t perfect, though I think perhaps they’re improving.

Normalize taking time off just because you need a break!!

It’s a holiday weekend, so I’m taking it easy.

I can’t lie, this week was kind of shit.

Since I gave you four (four!!) book reviews to peruse, I’ll keep the rest of the missive short.

Sometimes, I sit down to type up these updates, and I’m at a loss for words.

Still holding out for the seven-figure book deal one day—ha.

This review has been a long time coming, so I feel a bit of pressure to make it extra-good.

I spent a lot of time at the beach this week, which felt correct.

I wasn’t planning on posting an update today.

As of Thursday evening, I’m also writing again.

I’ve been incredibly tired for the last two weeks.

Y’all, have you heard? Grad school is hard, actually!!

Even when I don’t need rest, I’d still like my breaks to be restful.

I’m all about that instant gratification, babes.

I found it ironic that after feeling so guilty about taking a moment to rest, my body said, “Bitch, you are going to rest whether you like it or not.”

One year ago today, the Moratorium Library opened.

I became intimately acquainted with the ways in which “a body in motion stays in motion” can become your default in life.

I feel busy, and I feel good about it.
